Okay, here’s the deal, folks. This will be THE easiest and craziest party you will ever throw. All you need are couple bags of chips, some wild friends, and a city park (you might also want to throw in a couple of ho-ho and twinkles for effect).

My friends are absolutely crazy and we have the best time hosting themed parties for ourselves. This one was themed “Redneck Olympics.” With this party theme, the costume and activity options are limitless. I opted for a skanky little skirt, a babe on my hip (still not sure who the baby daddy is) and a long-necked bottle in my hand. The trailer and garbage can were also stellar props. I think they really set the scene.DSC_0637_2Food for your reckneck party is also super simple. Just have everyone bring their own take on redneck food. We had store bought bean dip and sparking cider. A plus of this theme is the fact that you don’t have to put an ounce of thought into your table settings! Just throw it out and chow down, hillbilly! Another option is having the party be BYOB (bring your own beef) and then grill them over a fire with a tipped over metal shopping cart. Again, just an idea. I trust your redneck intuition.

No Redneck Olympics would be complete without well earned trophies. You best bet that runner has a mullet!

Some of the competitions included:

Who can make the best call to welfare with an excuse as to why they needed their check early.

The tire toss.

Wheelchair races.

and park hillside bowling.

You can check those out here:

All in all, this party was a darn shu gud time!

So go forth and plan my party friends! Make sure to share you party photos with me at theposhpine@gmail.com. I’d love to see your party pics!

Don’t freak out, it’s powdered sugar people! And I even made sure to set the baby down first!
Just one big redneck family.
