Start spreadin’ the news, I’m leaving today
I want to be a part of it: New York, New York.
If I can make it there, I’m gonna make it anywhere,
It’s up to you, New York, New York.
-New York, New York, Frank Sinatra
Well, it turns out this lover of quiet mountain vistas also has a thing for bustling city streets. What am I going to do with myself? How will ever be happy in just one place?
New York is full of magic and culture. I spent today walking the streets of this, accurately named, concrete jungle. I logged over 10 miles on my phone (yaaaayy for my step goal!). It is not hard for me to see why people feel so drawn to this metropolitan. Around every corner inspiration can be found to do better and try harder. It is here where the best of the best congregate.
It’s crazy to me to think that humans built this… All of it. And if you want, you can contribute to it in some way. What brought me to New York is my profession and passion-story telling. My dear friend, Katherine, convinced me to go to a Media Conference for college students here in the city. Her love for this bustling city of honking horns, sparkling lights and tall daunting office buildings is definitely rubbing off on me. We spent the golden hour on the top floor of the Rockefeller Building. There is no other way to describe it than absolutely exquisite. She doesn’t give herself enough credit behind the lens. I think you will see below how incredibly talented she truly is.
New York, I love you!
As old blue eyes himself said, “If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere.”
Here’s to making it here:
